| Over all the two trips that I took to the Wilson ranch gave me yet another perspective of the American cattle scene and where value can be added to commercial operations. Overall I see the Wilson operation as one of the top herds I visited, both on a phenotypic basis and as a performance orientated herd.

| I have known the family for several years now and they truly exemplify the time honored tradition of land stewardship that will maintain a productive ranch in harmony with the environment.Careful consideration to stocking rates, pasture rotation and land management has not only been a successful business plan for a profitable enterprise that has served the family now for 5 generations. But will help insure that the ranch will remain productive for future generations of the Wilson family.

| Beef production is a vital part of our economy, and when done right, benefits those raising the beef and those who consume it. It is my opinion that the Wilson family takes pride in their product and how it is produced. It is important for them to know that they have done the best possible job in taking care of their cattle and the land they have responsibility for.

| The Wilson's are a super family that have been very community spirited over the years. They are the people that you hope will move in next door because of their helpful friendly attitude that they care deeply about the community. They were one of the first ranchers in Nebraska and the region to take the extra steps so they could assure that they were producing cattle that fit the total beef industry.

| My husband, Scott, and I have been thankful benefactors of the Wilson's information and sharing. Although we recently purchased a ranch in South-central Nebraska, we still greatly enjoy the friendship, mentorship, and conservation lessons we have gained and continue to derive from this generous and hardworking family.

| Because they have lived and worked on the same land for a century, the Wilson recognize the need to conserve and manage the grasses and sandy soil so that they will provide a livelihood in the future. The Wilson family has certainly taken very good care of their resouces. Their stewardship has improved the land, cattle, and community.

| Wilson Ranch raises some of the fanciest red cattle in western Nebraska. Time after time they top the market. The cattle of Wilson Ranch have a reputation of top performance in the feedlot, females that are very fertile, femine and have the ability to go out and produce to their potential on native range conditions. I would give Wilson Ranch a 5 star rating on all phases of their ranching operation.

| After feeding several hundred head of Wilson Ranch Cattle, we have been very pleased with the results. Consistantly, the red angus based cattle have yielded and graded high. Gains have always averaged over 4 lbs. per day! One comment of the feedlot owner that has always stuck in my mind was the day in August that the thermometer hit 104 degrees. All the black hided cattle were in a huddle and 80% of the Wilson Reds were at the bunk! Comsumption decreased on the black hides as high as 50% while the reds stayed at 90%.
